Back in September we made the switch to using 100% beef tallow in our fryer instead of canola oil. Since then we’ve been working toward an entirely canola and vegetable oil free kitchen.
Some of the challenges have included making adjustments to our house made sauce recipes as well as our baking and desserts. We also now make our mayonnaise base from scratch and have taken a very close look at the products we bring in to create your meal.
We can now proudly say that when you come to Bodega Rose your meal is cooked with olive oil, butter and beef tallow. We no longer have any canola or vegetable oil in the building and we promise to never look back.
